Environmental Health Officer / Food & Safety Officer (Food & Safety Team)
Part‑time 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE).
Who do we need?
East Hampshire District Council is looking for a passionate, ambitious Environmental Health Officer/Food & Safety Officer to join our dynamic Food & Safety team. The role offers a real chance to make a difference, protect the community, and support local businesses.
Responsibilities
* Carry out food hygiene inspections.
* Investigate health and safety incidents.
* Follow up on complaints.
* Tackle communicable disease cases.
* Provide advice, guidance and practical solutions to businesses to maintain compliance and success.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in a regulatory or public health environment (essential).
* Strong communication skills – able to work with business owners, the public and colleagues.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).

Salary
Grade 6/7 Salary range £38,649 – £51,126 (Career Graded).
