The Role

The successful applicant will maintain the college network and provide network administration throughout the college’s campuses, including user access, changing privileges and password maintenance whilst ensuring software licensing and Information Technology (IT) copyright obligations and other regulations are protected and any breaches are reported and corrected.

The successful applicant will administer risk management and contingency planning systems, including the performance of data security, system backup and disaster recovery whilst providing advice on technical issues associated with the network administration. You will liaise with the Department’s IT Support to resolve hardware, software and network related issues whilst providing input on system enhancements and implement new systems through research and identification of appropriate IT resources.

The successful applicant will assist in the customisation and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements, including installing and downloading software whilst providing training to administration staff in facilities and applications, including personal tuition and self-help instructions. You will liaise with administrative staff across the college’s campuses to determine needs and network requirements.
