We are working with a specialist SEMH provision in Bramley, Surrey, who are looking to appoint a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
The Role:
* Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am 4:00pm)
* Start: ASAP
* Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, both in class and through small-group interventions
* Building positive and trusting relationships to help students re-engage with learning
* Assisting teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
* Encouraging resilience, confidence, and emotional regulation in pupils
What the School is Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (school or care background)
* Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Team player who can work collaboratively with staff, therapists, and external agencies
* Resilience and adaptability to meet the needs of pupils with complex challenges
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* References covering the last 2 years
