About The Role
At EKFB we are shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe's latest high‑speed rail projects.
We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team based in Brackley. In this role you will need to carry out tasks independently, at times leading a small group of commercial staff and carrying out both periodical duties and one‑off tasks in accordance with deadlines as directed by the senior Commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and agree variation accounts for the main contract and sub‑contracts.
* Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans in conjunction with other team disciplines.
* Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustments.
* Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub‑contract final accounts; issue certification and payment of sub‑contractors.
* Provide contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations (e.g. timely issue of relevant notices).
* Negotiate and progress the resolution of any disputes, identify potential commercial risks and evaluate options for their control and management.
About You: Key Skills and Qualifications
* Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
* Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
* Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating the ability to deliver a positive commercial outcome for the project(s) you have been associated with.
* Ability to listen, learn and take on board new concepts, and to mentor junior team members.
* Driving licence is required for this role.
* Must hold a CSCS card (White or White/Yellow).
