Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: The Head Office is based in Billericay but the position itself is remote. Ideally the successful candidate will live locally in Essex - in case you need to go to site to collect materials.
Position: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours
Role Description
* Carry out first and second fixing of fire alarm systems.
* Commission variations and additions to the existing conventional fire alarm system.
* Field based role covering various sites across Essex & London.
* Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems to industry standards and client specifications.
* Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant with regulations.
* Fault diagnosis and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring fast and effective resolution of issues.
* Upgrade and modify systems to meet client needs and comply with current standards.
* Ensure compliance with British Standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
* Provide exceptional customer service by liaising with clients, addressing queries, and delivering expert advice.
* Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, maintenance logs, and installation certificates.
* Collaborate with other engineers and trades to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Stay up to date with the latest fire alarm technology and industry standards through continuous training.
You will be provided with a company vehicle, fuel card and iPad/laptop and essential items in order to complete your job.
Person Specifications:
* Strong experience with conventional fire alarm systems.
* Proven ability to complete first fix, second fix, and commissioning tasks.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and system specifications.
* Familiarity with industry standards and fire safety regulations.
* A methodical, detail-oriented approach to work.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* 18th Edition - Qualified/Certified
* BS 5839 Qualification
* Full UK Driving Licence
