The Role
You will own the end‑to‑end investigator grant process, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, negotiation and payment management across global clinical sites. Working closely with Clinical Operations, Finance, Procurement and external partners, you'll play a central role in ensuring financial compliance, accuracy and operational efficiency throughout the study lifecycle.
Location: Abingdon - Onsite 1/2 Days per Month
Salary: Up to £75,000
Key Responsibilities
Investigator Grant Budgets & Invoicing:
1. Develop global site budget templates using FMV benchmarking tools
2. Adapt budgets for country‑specific financial and regulatory requirements
3. Lead or oversee site/CRO budget negotiations
4. Maintain budget accuracy through protocol amendments and operational updates
5. Review, approve and track patient reimbursement claims
6. Escalate complex budget or payment term issues when required
Investigator Grant Payments:
7. Build and manage an in‑house site payment process
8. Issue pro forma requests and initiate payments via Accounts Payable
9. Validate site invoices against contracts and completed activities
10. Liaise with sites, project managers and AP to resolve invoicing queries
11. Partner with Finance to calculate and assess site accruals
Purchase Orders:
12. Collect supplier financial documentation for setup in Oracle NetSuite
13. Create and maintain site POs aligned to trial forecasts and enrolment
14. Provide reporting and ensure PO accuracy and compliance throughout the study
Skills & Experience
15. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
16. Comfortable working with large, complex budget datasets
17. Oracle NetSuite experience (preferred)
18. Experience with GrantPlan or Grants Manager
19. Global study start‑up experience, including country‑level budget template development
20. CTA and budget negotiation experience
