* Great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the team, responsible for a number of key customers across wholesale, independent retail & education channels
The role:
* Business Development Manager, managing a mix of managing existing accounts and developing new business across a variety of customer channels
* Will have full accountability for your own customer base. Likely to include wholesalers, resellers, independents, buying groups and high street customers
* Chance to drive and develop the brand further in this area and lead this channel for the business
* Reports into UK Head of Sales & Managing Director and be part of a small close-knit team
* Chance to build-on long-lasting relationships and grow the business
* Role will be a mix of customer visits, office time to manage some accounts internally and adapting to new ways of working
* Develop and execute all JBPs working closely with the rest of the team
* Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and promotion across customer base
Ideal candidate:
* Will need to have previous territory, account management or field sales experience in an FMCG category.
* Able to do a mix of office-working, be field based and able to travel to customers and manage own diary effectively
* Knowledge and experience of managing wholesalers, buying groups, independent retailers or resellers would be beneficial but not essential
* Experience in a non-food consumer goods area would be beneficial, you may currently be in another product area and open to a change
* Be personable, likeable and a ambitious
* Have strong commercial acumen, able to use excel and power point where necessary

* Role will be a mix of office-working, field and home-based as required. Must be able to travel as necessary
Benefits & details:
* Up to £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
* Bonus Up to 20%, company car & wider benefits
* Hybrid role – 2 days in Buckinghamshire head office plus regular travel
