About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Engineer (Manual Turner) to join our busy engineering department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking to work within a well-equipped workshop environment with access to a range of machinery and processes.
The successful candidate will have strong manual turning experience and be confident working with CNC equipment and other workshop machinery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Perform precision manual turning operations to engineering drawings and specifications
* Set up and operate CNC machines where required
* Carry out balancing, grinding, milling, and welding tasks as part of the production process
* Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet required standards
* Maintain machinery and ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently
* Work collaboratively with other engineers and departments to meet production targets
* Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in manual turning (essential)
* Experience operating CNC machines
* Knowledge of balancing, xsngvjr grinding, welding, and milling processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment
Desirable
* Formal engineering qualification (apprenticeship or equivalent)
* Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
