Compensation
Starting at $34.37/hour plus a 7% Night Shift Differential, with increases at 6 and 12 months.
Essential Functions
1. Analyze electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, focusing on electrical safety, basic electricity, and troubleshooting.
2. Monitor and communicate with PLCs, working with current Electrical Technicians.
3. Work on circuits up to 600v based on skill level.
4. Troubleshoot and repair plant and utility equipment.
5. Assist operators in determining when to shut down machinery due to mechanical or electrical issues.
6. Train with plant personnel on electrical aspects, working towards promotion.
7. Perform preventative maintenance and complete related documentation.
8. Process requisitions for parts replacement.
9. Execute projects under supervision.
10. Complete work professionally and follow up for quality assurance.
11. Continue education related to electrical skills.
12. Work overtime during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including emergency calls.
13. Maintain records of work performed using MP2 software.
14. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
15. Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks related to food safety and quality.
Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Knowledge of 3-phase power, AC/DC motors, relay logic, and programmable controls.
* Basic understanding of power transmission, mechanical drawings, and symbols.
* Experience in industrial electricity or maintenance, leadership preferred.
* Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel).
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and work independently.
Physical Requirements
* Stand for long periods (8+ hours).
* Occasional sitting, walking, bending, lifting (50+ lbs), carrying (40-60 lbs), pushing/pulling (up to 75 lbs).
Special Requirements
* Frequent overtime.
* Industrial maintenance experience required.
