Key Responsibilities * Follow high standards of animal care and welfare and update practices when needed. * Work safely, responsibly, and efficiently around animals, both independently and as part of a team. * Observe animal behaviour and health and report any concerns to the Line Manager. * Help plan and carry out animal enrichment activities regularly. * Prepare and organise equipment, animals, and facilities needed for learning sessions. * Communicate clearly and demonstrate tasks to provide engaging and educational sessions for students. * Support staff in delivering sessions for the public and wider community. * Carry out daily animal care tasks, including weekends and holidays when required by the Line Manager. * Assist the Head of Land-Based Studies with developing the farm area, including facilities, animal welfare, stocking levels, and services for the local community. For Qualified Teacher Role: Candidate must hold QTS (with relevant Teacher Reference Number) All candidates to have a current DBS, Prohibition check and completed barred list.
