Job Description To ensure that all engineering, fabrication, installation, and testing activities comply with applicable quality standards, project specifications, classification society rules, and regulatory requirements within heavy engineering or maritime operations. Implement and monitor quality control procedures for heavy engineering or maritime projects. Conduct incoming material inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections. Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, QCPs, and method statements. Ensure adherence to ISO standards, class rules (ABS, DNV, LR, BV, etc.), and client requirements. Inspect welding, machining, fabrication, piping, structural steel, and mechanical assemblies. Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications. Monitor surface preparation, coating, blasting, and painting activities. Ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerance compliance. Witness and record NDT activities (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT). Coordinate and witness pressure tests, load tests, FAT/SAT, and sea trials where applicable. Maintain quality records, inspection reports, NCRs, and release notes. Review and compile Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) / Dossiers. Identify quality deviations and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions. Follow up on closure of NCRs and improvement actions. Support internal and external audits, including client and class inspections. Ensure compliance with HSE, statutory, and maritime regulations. Liaise with clients, surveyors, inspectors, and third-party agencies
