Team Leader – Children's Residential Home
Location: Oswestry
Salary: £37,810.22 per annum (inclusive of sleeps)
Working Hours: 2 on 4 off shift pattern
Service: Children's Residential Home
Service Users: Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Qualifications Required: Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Experience Required: Minimum 18 months' experience within a Children's Residential Home (near‑qualified candidates with 60%+ completion of their qualification will be considered)
Employment Type: Fixed‑Term Contract (6–9 Month Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. You will lead shifts, support the development of the staff team, and help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people.
* Previous experience within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
* Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and care planning
* Resilient, adaptable, and able to lead by example
* Confident with record keeping and IT systems

Additional Screening Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
* Level 3 Residential Childcare is not equivalent to Health & Social Care qualifications
* Applicants from Healthcare, NHS, Adult Care, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Nursing Homes, Mental Health Services, or similar settings without Children's Residential experience will not be considered
* Applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered
Individuals with only CQC experience and/or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
