The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.
No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
About the opportunity
As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
Working within the healthcare department of the store while completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2), you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. You will make a difference every day.
This role is based in store within the UK. Remote applicants and those outside the UK will not be considered unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be verified.
Key responsibilities:
1. Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
2. Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services alongside healthcare professionals.
4. Provide care and advice about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist when necessary.
5. Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
6. Stay updated with new store innovations and operational processes.
7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
With evolving technologies, you will work with new systems to improve dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and allowing more time for patient interaction. You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career progression, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.
Requirements:
* Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role does not qualify for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Preferred experience:
* Experience working in community pharmacy.
