For the area of Corporate Controlling located in Grimsby, UK, we invite Financial Controlling experts to submit applications for the role of Management Accountant / Cost Controller.
Main tasks & key accountabilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and corporate reporting information, investigate variances and discrepancies, and provide explanations.
* Manage the product costing system (IPP) and SAP FI / CO master data including GL accounts and cost centres.
* Support site teams with business cases for new products and CAPEX projects, develop and report on value creation initiatives, and produce reconciliations and reports for Sales & Contribution, Stock, Variable costs, and department costs.
* Develop reporting tools for reliable, timely, and accurate cost information for relevant departments.
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations; prepare budgets and forecasts; and provide information for statutory purposes, including Audit, Corporation Tax, and VAT.
* Conduct regular checks on finished goods, engineering stores, and pulp stock, producing reconciliations with departments.
* Ensure procedures are up-to-date and deputise for the Head of Finance when necessary.
Your ideal profile
* Ideally a CIMA (or equivalent) qualified Accountant; at least AAT qualified with the potential to become CIMA qualified, with a good understanding of relevant accounting standards.
* Highly numerate and IT literate, with strong skills in SAP and MS Excel. Power BI experience is an advantage.
* Maintain high professional standards regarding accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
* Self-motivated, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and develop new practices.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
