About the role
We are looking for motivated health care support workers to join our team and support the registered nurses. You will be delivering high quality care to babies, children, young people and their families within the children's outpatient setting and child development centre. It is a busy department supporting multiple specialities and allied health care professionals, and we also have a well established phlebotomy clinic.
Responsibilities
* Welcoming children and families to the department
* Assisting with children attending & returning from theatre
* Weighing and measuring children
* Assisting with medical day care procedures
* Communicating well with the multi-disciplinary team and families involved in their child's care
* Chaperoning clinical procedures
* Opportunities for paediatric phlebotomy training
Working Hours
Shifts are 9 hours – 0800‑1730 Monday to Friday for Outpatients.
Qualifications
You will have experience of working in a hospital environment or have worked with children within another setting.
