Are you a qualified Solicitor seeking a rewarding temporary opportunity within local government?
Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a skilled and motivated Solicitor (Grade 9) to join the Legal Team in Ebbw Vale for a 12-week assignment, providing essential cover within a busy and supportive environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of legal services, with a focus on regulatory prosecutions and advice, primarily in the Magistrates’ Court, and to provide expert support to Planning and Licensing Committees.

What You’ll Do:
* Conduct and manage regulatory prosecutions and provide clear legal advice in connection with such cases.
* Advise and support Planning and Licensing Committees, ensuring legal compliance and robust decision-making.
* Prepare and present cases before the Magistrates’ Court and other relevant legal forums.
* Draft and review legal documents, reports, and correspondence to a high professional standard.
* Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, and partner organisations as required.
* (Desirable) Provide legal support to Adult Social Services where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate (England and Wales).
* Experience in regulatory law, local government, or public sector legal services.
* Knowledge of planning, licensing, and prosecution procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong advocacy experience.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise competing deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
* Strong professional ethics and commitment to public service values.
