Salary: £93,600 - 110,160 per year Requirements: Educational background up to a Bachelors degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline. Work exposure to a senior software engineer, technical lead, or similar role leading or mentoring a team of software engineers. Experience creating safety-critical software in C/C++/Ada or similar languages. Familiarity with aerospace standards, including ARP-4761A, ARP-4754A, DO-178C, DO-254A, DO-248, DO-300, and similar standards. Proficiency with requirements definition, management, and verification. Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day activities of the software team. Plan, design, develop, verify, and integrate the software for the high-altitude, long-endurance Zephyr aircraft. Act as the technical authority for software, ensuring compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Specify and develop the high-level and low-level software requirements.
