Salary: £62,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements: We need a Full-Stack Engineer with experience across React frontends and AWS serverless backends. We need strong backend/BFF experience with Node.js and TypeScript. We need experience developing AWS Lambda handlers and working with API Gateway routing, authorizers, and request/response handling. We need familiarity with Lambda middleware patterns such as Middy. We need experience working with DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, and SSM Parameter Store. We need experience designing RESTful APIs. We need experience with AWS CDK or SST for infrastructure as code. We need familiarity with core AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and SNS. We need a basic understanding of VPC networking, including Lambda in VPC and security groups. We need comfort reading and modifying existing infrastructure-as-code stacks. We need experience with unit and integration testing using Vitest or similar tools. We need experience with API mocking using MSW or equivalent tools. We need a test-first or test-aware mindset. We need experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or similar. We need comfort deploying to multiple environments and debugging deployment issues. We need experience working in monorepo setups. We need experience with OAuth or token-based authentication flows. We need comfort using Git in a team environment, including branching strategies, merge requests, and code reviews. Experience with React and TypeScript is desirable. Responsibilities: We build and maintain features across our transfer journeys. We work across the full stack, including React frontends, AWS Lambda BFF layers, and infrastructure as code. We take ownership of issues end-to-end, from investigation through to production deployment. We proactively identify and raise technical debt, bugs, and improvement opportunities. We support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. We write well-tested, maintainable code with good coverage. We collaborate with our wider team, platform teams, and product owners to deliver against requirements. We participate in code reviews and contribute to our engineering standards.
