About The Role
Leeds City College is seeking a Programme Manager within the Adult, Community and ESOL department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Adult, Community & ESOL (ACE) department, who were graded Outstanding by Ofsted in February 2025. In 2024/5 there were over 5000 students with a team of 200+, bringing education and life‑changing experiences to our learners. We have been validated internally as Grade 1 for six years in a row. The programme manager will support the Deputy Head based at Deacon House in delivering adult provision including Teaching Assistant, Childcare/Early years, Hair & Beauty, Assessor and IQA qualifications, ensuring that students are engaged, supported, and able to achieve positive outcomes. The team is based predominantly at Deacon House, but includes smaller provision at Enfield, College House and online.
What You Will Do
* Plan, develop and deliver a curriculum which effectively meets the needs of learners and employers.
* Deliver outstanding outcomes in terms of retention, achievement, success and progression.
* Exceed targets for income diversity and volume, as well as for financial contribution.
* Provide leadership in the enhancement of learning and teaching.
* Provide day‑to‑day line management for staff and leadership within the Department/School across all centres.
About You
* Level 5 teaching qualification.
* Level 3 assessor qualification.
* Relevant experience, knowledge and understanding of working positively with adults in the FE sector.
* Experience of supervising/managing staff to ensure high performance.
* Substantial experience of undertaking internal verification and moderation activities.
