Tasks Develop and publish a detailed analysis of UK public sector framework landscape, including but not limited to sub sector specialisms, geographic diversity, competitor analysis, anticipated pipeline, entry and renewals programme, access routes When qualifying for and acting with our desired Frameworks, ensure that all processes a developed and operated to comply entirely with Procurement Act 2023 in all aspects Develop and foster key relationships with Framework operators to ensure STRABAG has optimal exposure for the benefits of Regional Business Units Ensure that the STRABAG brand is optimised and consistent across all frameworks and Regional Business Units Develop and execute a detailed strategy for Framework selection, Sub Sector focus and regional analysis and prioritisation in conjunction with regional Business Units Carry out a detailed audit of current STRABAG UK capability and experience (in relation to Public Sector and Frameworks) to establish a baseline offering In conjunction with the Framework landscape review and the STRABAG UK capability and experience audit, develop a Gap analysis and recommendations to maximise STRABAG UK Develop and implement a strategy to ensure that the entire capability of the wider STRABAG Group is maximised whenever possible (eg Digitisation, Technological advantage, Social Value, EDI) Provide in depth support for appropriate Acquisition projects in pursuit of the wider Subdivision aims in sub sector and regional diversity, including but not limited to qualitative analysis in relation to framework competence, Business Planning, Integration planning and growth analysis Develop and foster key relationships with key bid support partners and consultants to ensure Framework renewal bids are of the highest standard and fully represent STRABAG and its wider capabilities Act as functional lead for all framework managers across sub sectors and regions to ensure consistence of approach and messaging Work with Business Units Managers to ensure they maximise their sub sector and/or regional presence Act in a leadership capacity, driving bids on upcoming Framework renewals Create and maintain a full data set across all sub sector and regional bases for framework and bid qualification Develop strong relationships with Central Services support functions to ensure they are fully briefed on the requirements of Business Units in regard to framework requirements Provide support to Sub Sector and Regional Business Units in connect with all Framework related matters Coach & mentor teams involved in Framework bidding and delivery Drive continuous improvement strategy, including value for money and performance benchmarking Represent STRABAG at Framework performance reviews, steering committees and working group to promotes STRABAG full suite of capabilities Develop a plan for capturing “lessons learned” into centralised data to improve future delivery and client satisfaction within Frameworks Support the wider Sub-Division growth aspirations in new markets and developing markets Qualifications Required: HND or degree level qualification in a relevant subject Extensive variety in types of projects bid, including different procurement processes and different sectors Strong commercial, financial and business acumen Broad technical knowledge in construction and experience of design and construction techniques and best practices Understanding of UK Construction procurement processes and procedures Articulate with good verbal, written and graphic communication skills Desirable Member of a Professional body (CIOB RICS) Previous experience within a similar business development role, for a major UK Contractor
