We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Solicitor to lead our legal department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial legal matters, provide strategic legal advice. This is a strategic and succession-planning appointment, intended for a solicitor who is ready to lead and develop the commercial offering. Acting as a senior point of reference for clients and colleagues at all offices, with progress to partnership.
Salary and bonus structure will be dependent on experience.
*Duties*
* Lead and manage the commercial legal team, ensuring high standards of legal practice and client satisfaction
* Provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts and agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements, business sales and acquisitions, terms and conditions and trading documentation, general corporate and advisory work
* Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents with precision and clarity
* Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives
* Manage case files efficiently within the law office setting while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
* Engage in client consultations to understand their needs and deliver tailored legal solutions
* Stay updated on current laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice
*Qualifications*
* At least 5 years of PQE in commercial law
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients
* Proficiency in comprehensive legal research
* Excellent writing skills and expertise in legal drafting for various documents and pleadings
* Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research and analyze complex legal issues
