Job Purpose:
The Marketing Assistant provides crucial support to our dynamic marketing team, playing a key role in the successful promotion and delivery of our industry-leading events. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of marketing activities within a fast-paced events environment. You will provide essential administrative and creative support, helping to bring our multi-channel marketing campaigns to life. Your day-to-day tasks will include crafting social media posts, updating website content, assisting with email campaigns, and ensuring event materials are perfectly prepared. You will work closely with Marketing Executives and the wider team, contributing to the overall success of our events and the engagement of our vibrant Talent Acquisition community. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch their career in events marketing and develop a strong foundation of practical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Management:
* Assisting with the creation and scheduling of engaging content for our social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, X, etc.), including copy, images, and basic video.
* Supporting the updating and maintenance of event websites using our Content Management System (CMS).
* Drafting and proofreading marketing copy for emails, newsletters, blog posts, and promotional materials.
2. Campaign Support:
* Assisting Marketing Executives with the implementation of email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation and scheduling.
* Supporting the distribution of promotional materials to target audiences.
* Helping to coordinate marketing initiatives with sales and operations teams.
3. Event Support & Administration:
* Providing administrative support to the marketing team, including managing databases, organising marketing assets, and scheduling meetings.
* Assisting with event logistics, such as collating attendee information, preparing event signage, and managing speaker/sponsor material collection.
* Supporting on-site event delivery, assisting with registration, wayfinding, and general event support as required.
4. Research & Reporting:
* Conducting basic market research to identify trends and gather competitive intelligence.
* Assisting with the compilation of data for marketing reports, including social media metrics and website analytics.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
* Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers (e.g., designers, printers) to ensure smooth delivery of marketing materials.
