About the role
The business has recognised the need to bring procurement expertise into the centre of their operations. Reporting into Finance, this is a career‑defining opportunity to build and own the procurement function from the ground up — spanning indirect spend (HR, Marketing, Legal, Technology, Professional Services) with scope to influence across wider business units globally.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the development of a global procurement strategy, with a focus on indirect spend.
* Partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, advising and challenging where needed.
* Deliver cost efficiencies while ensuring quality and compliance.
* Build and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts.
* Shape procurement processes and extend existing platforms (e.g. ServiceNow) globally.
* Lay the foundations for a future team, with the opportunity to scale.
* Roll sleeves up: balance strategy with hands‑on delivery.
What we’re looking for
* Significant procurement leadership experience in professional services or similar industries (not retail or charity).
* Track record covering indirect spend; exposure to direct procurement a plus.
* A confident stakeholder manager who can influence at all levels.
* Commercially sharp, collaborative, and pragmatic — no ego, just impact.
* Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment where not everything is formalised.
This is an exceptional chance to make a tangible impact within a profitable, people‑first business. You’ll be the one shaping the strategy, engaging globally, and laying the groundwork for procurement’s future.
If you’re a procurement leader ready to take ownership and build something new, I’d love to connect for a confidential conversation.
