Description of role:
We are seeking a dynamic,
results-oriented
UKI & Nordics Sales Manager to lead and grow our commercial operations across the region. This high-impact role is ideal for a self-starter with a
hunter mentality
who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering value to customers.
You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline development to closing deals and managing long-term client relationships.
This role also includes oversight of our Genomics Services division and coordination of public procurement and tendering activities across EMEA.
Key areas of responsibility:
Sales Leadership
* Develop, own, execute & deliver the regional sales strategy across the full Yourgene & Primer Design portfolio.
* Achieve and exceed revenue targets through strategic planning, pipeline development, and effective execution.
* Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across direct and indirect channels.
* Personally manage key customer relationships and develop a strong KOL network.
Genomics Services Oversight
* Manage the Commercial Genomics Services Lead, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
* Take ultimate accountability for Genomics Services sales performance.
* Coordinate and support all tender submissions across the region.
Customer & Market Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
* Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regional dynamics to inform strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
* Ensure accurate and timely CRM updates, including forecasting and reporting.
* Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, the UK Bribery Act, and internal Quality Systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
* BSc/MSc/PhD in a Biological Science subject (Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics or similar).
* 3–5 years of proven success in B2B sales in genomics or life sciences.
* Experience in people management.
* International sales experience.
* Demonstrated hunter-style sales approach with a strong close rate.
* Experience in both direct and indirect sales models.
* Strong background in selling laboratory services and capital equipment.
* Familiarity with public procurement and tendering processes in EMEA.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
* Degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
* Sales to public and private hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharma, and biopharma sectors.
* Understanding of culturally diverse and tender-driven markets.
