Our client, a prominent name in the aerospace sector, are urgently looking for a hands-on, driven Planner to join a high-performing supply chain team.Role: PlannerDuration: 4 - 6 month contractPay: £ p/hr (Inside IR35)Location: Hamble, SouthamptonWorking Pattern: Fully onsiteIn this role, you'll be at the heart of operations, working daily with the shop floor, tackling real-time challenges, and ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.Key Responsibilities:Own daily production scheduling across multiple workstreamsWork closely with shop floor, operations, warehouse & logistics teamsIdentify and resolve material shortages and bottlenecksLead and participate in daily & weekly planning meetingsSupport S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) processesBuild robust production plans and spot pinch points before they happenEscalate risks and issues proactively to keep production on trackBalance demand, capacity, and material availability in real-timeYou'll need to be someone who can see the bigger picture whilst managing day-to-day detail and someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.Key Requirements:Proven experience in production planning / schedulingStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systemsBackground in engineering, aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing environmentsComfortable working onsite and closely with operations teamsUnderstands capacity, constraints, and workflow dependenciesKnows when to escalate and when to problem-solve independentlyIf you thrive under pressure, enjoy solving problems, and know how to connect the dots across planning, materials, and operations, this role is for you.If you're an experienced Planner happy to be fully onsite in Hamble, Southampton and ready to roll your sleeves up to make an immediate impact, apply now!
