We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering team in Newcastle. This role involves working collaboratively in multi‑professional design teams on projects ranging from inception to completion and delivering sustainable, high‑performance buildings.
The projects span local, regional, national and international scopes, offering exposure to a multi‑cultural business environment.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred) with Chartered status through IStructE, ICE or equivalent, or completing it.
* Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
* Wide knowledge of the structural design of buildings, including coordination, spatial planning, buildability and environmental impact.
* Good understanding of industry software packages.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience supervising and providing technical mentorship to Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
* Passion for structural engineering and enthusiasm for a career in design.
* Proven success in contributing to a team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
* Design and delivery of building projects from inception to completion, prioritising minimal whole‑life carbon impact.
* Collaboration with multi‑professional teams to achieve outstanding engineering outcomes.
* Implementation of digital transformation initiatives, including automation to improve design efficiency.
* Mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
