Are you a reliable, safety-conscious driver looking for a flexible and rewarding role?

Bloxham School is seeking a Minibus Driver to join our friendly Operations and Logistics team on a casual (zero hours) basis. You’ll be responsible for safely transporting pupils to and from school along a designated route, to and from sporting fixtures or excursions and play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our school community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking part-time, flexible hours in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive one of our school minibuses on morning and/or evening routes, to weekend fixtures/excursions, dependent on your availability
* Ensure pupils are collected and dropped off safely and on time
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance (e.g. fluid levels, tyre pressures)
* Keep the minibus clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping
* Liaise with parents, students and teaching staff in a friendly and professional manner
* Follow all school transport and safeguarding policies

What We’re Looking For:

* A full UK driving licence with D, D1 or D1(101) entitlement
* Have held your driving licence for at least 5 years
* Fit to drive in line with DVLA requirements
* A responsible, punctual and approachable manner
* Able to work flexibly and attend training when required
* Previous experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle is desirable, but not essential

The post holder’s responsibility will include promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/ he comes into contact. The post holder will be required to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Child Protection Policy at all times. If, in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the School, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
