Job description
This nursery setting is looking for a fun and dynamic practitioner with a passion for children who is dedicated to providing the best start for their development and future. We work hard to challenge children and provide a nurturing environment to enhance learning, supporting and extending individual interests.
The successful applicant will provide an emotionally secure, stimulating, and safe environment appropriate to the needs of individual children. They will also have the ability to educate and provide an enabling environment promoting excellent learning opportunities for all children. The minimum requirements include Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and 2-3 years of experience, gained from working in a similar role at an established preschool/nursery or childminding with a proven track record.
Role and Responsibilities
* Conduct observations on your iPad for your group of up to 12 key children
* Create and develop learning through play activities with other staff, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Review and assess the development of your key children and plan for the next stages of learning in line with the EYFS
* Provide support as necessary to the Manager and Deputy Manager(s)
* Liaise with parents/carers as a key person for their child, providing progress updates and feedback
* Support SEN children in your group of key children
* Give detailed and accurate feedback for all your key children to assist in completing End of Year Reports
* Ensure the safety and welfare of children and colleagues by adhering to health and safety practices
* Stay informed of current good practices and educational developments
* Work as part of a team and attend relevant training courses as necessary
Qualifications Required - Essential:
* Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare
* 2-3 years experience in a nursery setting or childminding
* DBS check
* First Aid certification
* Food Hygiene certification
Salary and Benefits
£12+ per hour
Working hours are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm for 38 weeks per year/term time.
You are entitled to 5.6 weeks of holiday per year, inclusive of bank/public holidays, calculated at 1/52nd of the annual entitlement per week of remaining service. This entitlement will be prorated.
