We’re recruiting an enthusiastic Customer Development Executive to represent Carlsberg Britvic across Tonbridge and surrounding areas. You’ll build strong relationships key decision-makers in store, secure additional displays, increase distribution and drive sales and visibility for their well‑established product range.
This role is ideal for someone with field sales or direct selling experience who enjoys autonomy, building relationships and delivering results in a fast‑paced retail environment. Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.
In this role as Customer Development Executive, you will help grow Carlsberg Britvic market share within your defined territory. Working as part of a successful team, you will drive sales of our fantastic portfolio of Beers, Ciders and Soft Drinks by maximising brand availability and visibility in Symbol and Independent stores.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working with a Regional Sales Manager, and selling our amazing Soft Drinks and Beers portfolio, you will be responsible for making face-to-face contact with Convenience (Symbol & Independent) retailers, establishing and retaining new business opportunities, and delivering a business plan for your territory focused on maximising sales opportunities.
If you bring the energy and passion, we will support and develop you to:
* Partner with our customers by building outstanding relationships in convenience stores, understanding retailer’s needs, their local consumers, and executing solutions.
* Adopt a full category based selling approach to growing and developing every outlet you work with for the benefit of both the retail outlet and Carlsberg Britvic.
* Create a winning territory business plan and take a business development approach in your territory to grow sales and market share.
* Use data and evidence-based retailer successes to drive best practice in your territory, region, and across the team.
* Develop a growth mindset and adaptable approach that demonstrates an ability to offer alternative approaches to tackling challenges and winning over your stores.

You’ll need:

* You are eager to win, advocating our brands and putting consumers at the heart of what we do and sell.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role.
* Good administration, organisational and planning skills, commercially astute with great negotiation techniques.
* Self-motivated & IT and Social Media literate.
* Strong and Resilient with the personal energy and will to act at pace.
* Participating as part of a team in a proactive manner.
* Full valid manual driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK and live within a 60-minute commute from the location of the role all essential.
Nice to Have:
* Experience working in Convenience or FMCG.
* Merchandising or POS execution experience
* Direct selling skills
