The Surgical Directorate is currently looking for Health Care Support Workers for an exciting role on Ward B2. Our focus is on providing safe and exceptionally skilled surgical care to our patients. We focus heavily on training, education, staff support and development; alongside collaborative working with our Consultants and other professionals. We consider ourselves a dedicated, supportive team, who welcome learners and those wishing to grow their skills and knowledge. We deliver high quality care to patients with complex needs and multiple co-morbidities. We are a forward-thinking directorate and wards, and we always put our patients first. We strive towards improving our services to meet the ever changing needs of our patients, the workforce and the systems of the future. We need Health Care Support Workers that are highly motivated and passionate about the contribution they make to safe and compassionate patient care, their working environment and colleagues. Responsibilities
Support patients on Ward B2 as part of the surgical care team, contributing to safe and compassionate patient care for acute surgical patients. Act as a positive, collaborative team member, supporting training, education, staff development and the delivery of high quality care to patients with complex needs and multiple co-morbidities. Work within the care team, alongside Consultants and other professionals, to provide effective patient care and support a culture of learning and professional growth. Be flexible in working patterns to meet service needs.
Hours, Location and Mobility
2x full-time, fully flexible positions available at 37.5 hours per week and 1x 34.5 hour per week position, also fully flexible (may require working nights, weekends, and bank holidays).
UHD are investing in and transforming Trust services; some services may move site this year or next, temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will answer service-specific questions at interview. If a role relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed; travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute.
