Job Title: Financial Controller (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover)
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes
* Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
* Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making
* Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives
* Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
* Lead and develop a small finance team
Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
* Background in manufacturing or a similar operational environment preferred
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
