* Cost Control: Manage food costs by overseeing inventory, portion control, and minimizing waste, contributing to the overall profitability of the hotel's food operations.
* Team Supervision: Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and update menus, ensuring a variety of high-quality offerings that cater to guest preferences.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on detail and quality.
* Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
