Assistant Project Manager
* Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
* Location: Warlingham, Surrey
* Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a great client of ours that supports within the leisure and hospitality sector. This role is ideal for individuals transitioning from a trade or site-based background to an office-based project management career. The successful candidate will benefit from structured training, clear progression paths, and hands-on exposure to live projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work closely with senior Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
* Conduct site visits, surveys, and progress inspections to ensure projects are on track.
* Support cost control, procurement activities, and coordination of subcontractors.
* Help prepare and monitor project programmes and schedules.
* Attend site and progress meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and quality standards.
* Manage variations, project documentation, and reporting requirements effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant industry experience in a site-based or trade role (e.g., Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Qualified Tradesperson).
* Essential certifications: SSSTS or SMSTS.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Ability to commute daily to the office in Warlingham, Surrey.
* A long-term career mindset with ambition to progress into a Project Manager role.
