Job overview
The post holder is directly responsible to the Head of Service (Logistics and Supply Chain) and will manage Logistics and Supply Business Improvement Initiatives and Projects in collaboration with the Head of Service.
The post holder will lead a team of logistics staff across One Lancashire & South Cumbria. Responsibilities include validating business processes, providing operational procedures for training and development, developing efficiency opportunities, measuring savings and costs, sharing system enhancements, and removing poor practices across the Trust.
The role requires strategic collaboration with stakeholders across multiple NHS Trusts within One LSC.
Main duties of the job
This pivotal role involves the rollout of Scan 4 Safety across three main hospital sites, starting at Westmorland General Hospital.
The role will:
* Support the development and delivery of logistics and supply chain services.
* Focus resources on efficient processes, savings, process improvements, and operational productivity.
* Ensure services meet customer needs and achieve efficiency savings by collaborating with partner Trusts.
* Map and analyze processes to reduce waste and improve workflow.
* Identify, measure, and demonstrate improvements in cost reduction and efficiency.
* Document processes, instructions, recommendations, and key metrics.

* Logistics professional qualification (Degree / Masters or equivalent) or substantial senior-level experience in logistics and supply chain.
* Ongoing professional development in relevant fields.
* Qualification or experience in supply chain engineering or TQM.
