Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: The service: Heeley Green is a service supporting 8 males varying in ages between 22-56 with the capacity to accommodate adults from 18 years upwards. Within the service support needs range from Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disability, Emotional Behaviour Disorder and Personality Disorder, all our staff are trained and supported to understand and support us with our additional support needs. Some of us are very independent, some share relationships and want to settle down and some of us are still exploring who we are. We are all on a different journey with different hopes, dreams and aspirations The role: As a Service Leader level 2 you will Lead an engaged and motivated team to change lives, deliver person-centred outcomes for every person we support by driving performance, setting the pace and direction within services, promoting a positive and passionate culture, and ensuring that services are appropriately and effectively resourced to change lives for the better. You will Actively promote their service and dare to be better by seeking out opportunities for growth and innovation through the development of thriving and life-changing partnerships in line with service or cluster strategic objectives. You will Manage the resources available to you creatively and appropriately to ensure efficient service delivery in line with contractual requirements and in line with operational budgets. You will Take overall responsibility for and take the lead any clinical risk management, ensuring that all regulatory, professional standards and legislation associated with social care is followed. There will be many responsibilities in your role as an SL2 but above all you will Lead by example with passion in the development of complex care service models, working with the complex care team and other specialists to ensure the service meets the needs of those supported, and to contribute to a comprehensive and robust complex care offering across the organisation, in line with the organisation's ethos and objectives. Requirements: With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 4 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 5 (England). Evidence of continuing professional development. Medication level 3 training and ability to undertake competency assessments for support workers (desirable).
