About Us
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That's because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it's needed the most.
About The Opportunity
This is a pivotal role in the Soil Association's Fundraising Team – leading our corporate partnerships work to deliver exceptional, high-value collaborations and achieve ambitious income growth. You will be responsible for creating, pitching, and managing six- and seven-figure, multi-year partnerships with some of the UK's most influential businesses.
Working closely with our charity leadership team, Trustees, and Development Board, you'll proactively broaden our networks and drive transformational partnerships that deliver real impact across the food and farming system. You'll also play a lead role in developing and refining our corporate proposition, ensuring it reflects the Soil Association's ambition and resonates with partners' ESG and sustainability priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity to not only grow our partnership portfolio but to also work across the wider Soil Association Group (including Certification and Exchange) to co-create embedded, strategic partnerships that unlock influence, innovation, and significant unrestricted funding.
About You
We are looking for an exceptional fundraiser to take a lead role in driving forward our corporate fundraising strategy. An influential leader, who thrives in a fast-paced team and is brilliant at building lasting partnerships both with supporters and colleagues. Your ability to translate complex food systems programmes into simple, compelling propositions for companies will deliver against shared strategic priorities.
You will:
* Have a proven track record of securing and managing six-figure corporate partnerships, ideally multi-year and multi-stakeholder.
* Be a confident, persuasive communicator with the ability to translate complex food systems and sustainability programmes into compelling, tailored propositions that align with business ESG goals and reporting requirements.
* Demonstrate strong financial acumen, with experience of setting and managing budgets, negotiating partnership investments, and leveraging unrestricted funding.
* Be an influential leader, equally comfortable developing strategy, refining our approach, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver results.
* Bring experience of working within or alongside large companies and understand how to build partnerships that deliver shared value and measurable impact.
The ideal candidate will be motivated by impact and understand the value of engaging constructively with major businesses to accelerate the Soil Association's mission.
Flexibility to travel across the UK is also required.
