Description Role Summary The primary purpose of this role is to perform routine calibration work on customer equipment returned for service and on sales orders provided by Production. The role also involves conducting performance checks and minor repairs on customer units. Key Responsibilities Technical Duties Perform routine calibrations on customer equipment and sales orders. Conduct performance checks and minor repairs on customer units. Identify out-of-spec or faulty units using calibration expertise. Ensure all test and calibration equipment is within its calibration period before use. Follow daily backlog priorities unless instructed otherwise by the Laboratory Supervisor or Head/Deputy Head of Lab. Monitor environmental conditions in the work area and report any issues. Perform monthly checks on liquid baths, chambers, and RH% calibration rigs. Assist with investigation work as requested by the Head/Deputy Head of Lab. Support other Lab Calibration Technicians with technical and measurement-related queries. Help maintain all test and calibration equipment. Communication Regularly report activities to the Laboratory Supervisor or Head/Deputy Head of Lab. Report non-conforming work via Teams, email, or Oracle notes. Notify the Head/Deputy Head of Lab of any anomalies or issues with lab equipment. Report any mishandling of test or calibration equipment, whether accidental or deliberate. General Responsibilities Maintain a strong focus on quality in all laboratory work. Work efficiently and effectively without compromising standards. Comply with all company policies, including the Company Handbook, Fortive Code of Conduct, and Company Ethos. Ensure impartiality in all activities and safeguard it through structured processes. Treat all customer and calibration-related information as confidential. Adhere to the 5S culture to promote a safe and organized work environment.
