A day in the life… Dog Groomer - Nelson NZ
1. Provide full grooming services to a range of breeds - bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, combing, generic & breed clipping
2. Provide a positive and memorable grooming experience for all customers and their dogs
3. Coordinate the grooming salon and clients in conjunction with the Store Manager
4. Make client bookings
5. Assist store shop floor team when required
6. Stock management
7. Work with Store Manager & team to ensure member program targets and expectations are met
8. Proactively support local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs
9. Work with the team to achieve and exceed sales target
10. Maintain a strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
What we need…
11. Experience in professional dog grooming
12. Qualification in Grooming, preferred but not essential
13. Ability to create and embed strong safety practices across the salon & store
14. Good knowledge of specific breed clips
15. Physically fit, as you may be required to lift heavy animals
16. Demonstrated experience in handling and working with live animals
17. Ensure you maintain breed clip and brand/product knowledge
18. Maintain advanced understanding of zoonotic and skin diseases and how to identify them
19. Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
20. Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities
21. Demonstrated ability to achieve & exceed sales targets
22. A commitment to represent the interests of Petstock in areas related to the business, branding and animal care
23. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build strong working & customer relationships
24. Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
25. Strong attention to detail
