Role
As Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in supporting the Principal with the strategic and operational leadership of the school. You will have responsibility for driving high standards of teaching and learning, supporting staff development, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Principal in the day‑to‑day leadership and management of the school
* Lead on quality of education, teaching, learning, and assessment
* Monitor and evaluate student progress and outcomes
* Contribute to the development of a relevant and engaging post‑16 curriculum
* Support and develop teaching and support staff
* Promote positive behaviour and a strong safeguarding culture
* Build effective relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and employers
Requirements
* Experience in a leadership or senior role within SEN or further education
* Strong understanding of post‑16 provision and EHCP processes
* Proven ability to raise standards and improve outcomes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A proactive, solution‑focused approach
