Location: Highlands, Scotland (Hybrid – Caithness & Inverness Projects) Job Type: Full-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Hybrid Site and Remote Working Overview: Corrie Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a medium-sized, Highland-based civil engineering contractor heavily involved in the renewables sector, for a full-time Quantity Surveyor. Our client is open to applications from both Assistant Quantity Surveyors and experienced Quantity Surveyors, offering an excellent opportunity for career development and progression within a respected regional contractor. The successful candidate will manage the commercial aspects of two substation projects – initially based partly in Caithness, followed by a large new project south of Inverness. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and oversee the commercial and financial elements of assigned civil engineering projects * Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim and final accounts * Administer contracts and manage subcontractor procurement and payments * Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability * Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are met * Support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes * Ensure compliance with company procedures and contract requirement Requirements: * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projects * Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills * Excellent communication and negotiation abilities * Familiarity with NEC contracts preferred * Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard commercial management software * Full UK driving licence * Willingness to travel between project sites (Caithness and Inverness areas) Package Includes: * Salary £45,000 – £70,000 (DOE) * Additional benefits and allowances * Hybrid working (site and remote) To apply please email your fully up-to-date CV Corrie Recruitment Ltd operates as an Employment Agency and as an Employment Business.
