About the Client

Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of client financial statements
* Inputting client data into accounting systems (manual and digital)
* Preparing working papers, fixed asset registers, and reconciliations
* Supporting VAT, debtors, creditors, pre-payments, and accruals reporting
* Performing bank reconciliations and posting transactions
* Providing support to the Audit Team, including systems testing, stock takes, and audit sampling
* Assisting with tax work, including draft Personal and Corporation Tax Returns
* Filing self-assessment tax returns, VAT returns, and Company Annual Returns online
About You
* A genuine interest in a career in accountancy with a strong willingness to learn
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Clear and confident communication skills
* A proactive, well-organised approach with the ability to manage deadlines
* IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good GCSE results (grade 6 or above in English and Maths) and strong A-levels / BTEC in relevant subjects (circa 120 UCAS points)
