As a Capability Partner, you'll be collaborating with senior customers to define the strategic direction for functional learning!
Your role involves identifying current and future capability needs, supplying to the overarching Group Tesco Capability strategy alongside fellow Capability Partners.
Additionally, you’ll work closely with the Capability Design team and Tesco Business Services (TBS) to shape, influence, and take ownership of capability development for your specific business area. Your approach will be visible, adaptable, and influential as you build positive relationships across the organisation.
You will be responsible for:
Partnering with senior team members (WL5) to influence and develop strategic direction for functional learning for both the what and the how from a Group perspective.
Leading robust, data led learning needs analysis to develop and deliver prioritised market focused capability plans, which ensure the right skills and behaviours to deliver both market and central strategic priorities.
Responsible for line leading a small team remotely based and work collaboratively with fellow Capability Partners to ensure a rounded view of market-needs within functional plans and vice versa. Drives value through business-wide learning offerings to ensure a consistent approach is taken across all learning products and platforms.
Partnering with People Business Partners, Talent Partners and other teams to ensure end to end alignment to the overall colleague experience.
Championing the core learning offer for colleagues, managers and leaders, influencing the business to adopt the core offer and ensure a flawless learning experience for all colleagues within their function(s) across the Group.
Responsible for owning any safe and legal training specific to your market and will be responsible for working with TBS to build content to keep the business compliant.
You'll live 20/80, ensuring your function follows all governance processes and tenaciously prioritise work in line with the Group Capability's plans and priorities. You take a cost-conscious approach to all budgetary decisions, sharing accountability on budget decisions and ensuring we follow group capability budgeting priorities within the work we deliver in functions.
Continuously aspiring to bring in outside in thinking and are passionate about ensuring the learner experience is at the heart of what you do.
Owning and lead the market capability strategy inc. Learning Tech experience (including Content Libraries) and governance, ensuring we remove redundancy and drive learner consistency.
Championing and role model our Win Together behaviours, contributing to a cultural change programme across the Tesco group and actively driving a culture of learning.
You will need:
Setting group wide capability strategies and gaining engagement, consensus and sign off for these.
Responsible for senior partner engagement and influencing, in particular building strategic positive relationships with a diverse group of international team members.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of latest learning external and internal trends and how people learn.
Able to dedicatedly prioritise, led by data, driven by commercial foresight and subject matter expertise,
Shown understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities.
Proven knowledge of learning and development interventions and providers.
Strong network of learning specialists to draw on external standard process
