The role
1. The school seeks a Youth Worker within schools who will be enthusiastic, Understanding, patient and compassionate.
2. providing specialist support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs and assistance.
3. Delivering support to children across the ages of 6 to 16 years old, on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
4. Building a lasting relationship with students, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst having fun and shining bright.
About the school:
5. The school is a specialist provision for children with SEN. The school teaches children from the age of 6 to 16 in small classes with EHC plans for social, emotional or mental health needs.
6. The school aims to create a happy, healthy community in which all students and staff members can succeed.
7. The school does their upmost to support students in a calm and non-confrontational manner, helping students to feel comfortable enabling them to make the most of their opportunities.
8. The school looks to support pupils with the aim of them becoming confident, resilient, ambitious and emotionally literate.

To be considered for the role of Part time- Teaching Assistant you will:
10. Be flexible.
11. Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
12. Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
13. Friendly and nurturing qualities.
14. Competent behaviour management skills.
15. Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH
16. Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
17. Have a patient and caring nature.
18. Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
19. Willing to complete CPD training.

Salary
£445-£470 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
