Job Summary
Micheldever Tyres is looking for a proactive Purchasing Assistant to provide support to our buyers, helping them to effectively manage tyre brands within the Micheldever portfolio and help maintain strong supplier relationships. This vital administrative and operational support role reports into the Buyer or Senior Buyer, ensuring that supplier records, purchase orders, and stock data is maintained accurately, helping the department to run efficiently. Working closely with Buyers, you will assist in supplier communications, monitoring deliveries, and supporting the smooth running of the procurement process.
1. Location: Micheldever, near Winchester
2. Must have: Experience of accurate data entry and record-keeping
3. Salary: £25-£27K

About the role:
5. Provide vital administrative and operational support to the purchasing team
6. Work closely with Buyers, assisting in supplier communications, monitoring deliveries, and supporting the smooth running of the procurement process.
7. Ensure supplier records, purchase orders, and stock data are maintained accurately, helping the department run efficiently
8. Raise and track purchase orders accurately and on time.
9. Monitor stock deliveries and follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders.
10. Support buyers with data entry, reporting, and analysis tasks.
11. Contribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant work environment.
12. Support buyers to effectively manage tyre brands within the Micheldever portfolio and help to maintain strong supplier relationships
About you:
13. Experience in an administrative, clerical, or similar purchase support role
14. Experience of accurate data entry and record-keeping ability.
15. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
16. Good communication and interpersonal skills
17. Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
18. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
