About the role: Liquid Personnel has an exclusive opportunity for a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a solo home for a young person with backgrounds of EBD and CSE. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children’s Manager or deputy wanting to utilise their experience and knowledge to shape the future of this home.
You will be working for a reputable children’s home provider across the northwest, focusing on positive outcomes for young people using therapeutic approaches and providing solo provisions for direct 1-1 support, relationship building, and skill development.
As the Home Manager you will:
* Oversee daily operations of the children’s home, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Lead the staff team proactively, in conjunction with the deputy, to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
* Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including conducting regular performance reviews.
* Collaborate with external agencies such as social workers, healthcare providers, and education professionals to ensure high-quality care and support for each child.
* Ensure the home is a safe, welcoming environment respecting the needs and preferences of the young people.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, completing administrative tasks efficiently and timely.
The successful candidate will have:
* At least 2 years’ experience managing a children’s Ofsted-registered home.
* NVQ Level 3 or above and a Level 5 in Leadership & Management (residential childcare).
* A thorough understanding of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and standards related to residential care homes for children.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, young people, and external stakeholders.
* Physical intervention experience or willingness to undertake practical training.
