Working within our Design team, the Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting with structural design elements on projects.
What you’ll do:
* Adherence to the Integrated Management System
* Undertake concept designs and planning projects at concept stage on a wide variety of buildings
* Responsible for the production of Structural Engineering calculations for light gauge steel frames, associated hot rolled members, and composite floor slabs.
* Delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and budget
* Interact with clients and other project members
* Keep management informed of important and relevant design decisions to ensure the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
* Represent Remagin and attend meetings with clients and suppliers, with senior members of the team
* Understanding of the detailed design process, including the use of software, adherence to the process, and production of manufacturing information
* Undertake site visits as required
What you’ll bring:
* Experience working as a Structural Engineer, preferably within steel design
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and alongside senior engineers and the external design team to provide engineering solutions
* Bachelor’s degree (BEng / BSc) or Master’s degree (MEng / MSc) that meets the engineering academic requirements for Chartership
