Business Development Manager - The Role:
Based within the Freight department you will work as part of a team and be responsible for the below:
- Generate leads through networking, market research, and outreach, close deals for new and existing accounts
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue goals, identify target accounts, and stay informed on market conditions
- Build strong relationships, understand client needs, and ensure high satisfaction
- Prepare and present quotes/tenders, negotiate pricing, and finalize contracts
- Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams for effective service delivery
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales activity and performance reports
- Attend trade shows and events to promote services and build brand awareness
This position is based in Coleshill which is easily commutable from Tamworth, Solihull, Nuneaton and Birmingham. Our offices are opposite Coleshill Parkway Railway Station which offers a direct link to Birmingham Grand Central and Nuneaton.
Business Development Manager - You:
Experience within the freight forwarding industry is essential, suitable candidates should have:
- A proven sales/BDM background in freight forwarding (air, sea, road)
- A strong understanding of import/export, customs, and logistics processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Required to be commercially minded with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to work autonomously and meet targets
In addition, you must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor work Permits.
