Role: Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician Pet Health Division

Working hours: 40 hours per week, scheduled between Monday and Sunday. The primary shift will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required, depending on business needs.

As an accredited Accuracy Checking Technician supporting our Pet Health division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of veterinary prescriptions in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Acting as the final checker, you will uphold the highest standards of clinical accuracy and regulatory compliance, ensuring all prescriptions are dispensed daily and performance targets are consistently met.
You'll work closely with pharmacy teams and cross-functional departments to maintain robust quality controls, support day-to-day clinical operations, and contribute to a workplace culture that is professional, collaborative, and purpose-led.

What you'll be doing?
* Ensure all prescriptions received are dispensed daily
* Support the clinical team with day to day activities
* Comply with P2U dispensary operations procedure and meet internal targets for dispensing quality and accuracy
* Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional and company requirements
* Working within a high-volume environment
* Meeting set targets for individuals and team to meet business targets
* Taking ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy
* Working with key teams across the business (customer service, purchasing, operations & pharmacists
* Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly
Who are we looking for?
* Holds a valid ACT qualification or is a registered Pharmacy Technician with the ACT module
* Is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and committed to maintaining professional standards
* Has experience in veterinary prescriptions or a strong interest in pet health (preferred but not essential)
* Thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
* Works collaboratively across teams and communicates clearly with colleagues in pharmacy, operations, and customer service
* Is confident using IT systems, including Excel at an intermediate level, and quick to learn new tools
* Demonstrates initiative, organisation, and a proactive approach to continuous professional development (CPD)
