Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Newcastle to recruit an experienced and dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in September 2025.
This is a full-time role covering a well-established Year 2 class, offering the opportunity to join a supportive team with a strong focus on pupil progress and well-being. The role is expected to continue for the duration of the maternity leave, with the potential to become a permanent post for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Be confident in delivering the national curriculum and preparing pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Be enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
