About the Role
* $113k – $121k plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading
* Fixed Term – 2 years
* Full time (35 hours)
The Postdoctoral Fellow (Level A) will conduct intervention studies on mental health in Australian Defence Force personnel, including controlled trials, statistical analysis, report writing, and project management. The Fellow will work under the guidance of Scientia Professor Richard Bryant and collaborate with Defence Force research personnel.
Responsibilities
* Conduct intervention studies on mental health with Defence Force personnel.
* Review literature on mental health in Defence Force personnel and psychological interventions for common mental disorders.
* Undertake specific research projects and contribute to the development of research activities.
* Prepare manuscripts for peer‑review publication, including statistical reporting and literature synthesis.
* Present at conferences and workshops relevant to the project.
* Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Values.
* Cooperate with health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* A PhD in a related discipline and relevant experience in mental health.
* Demonstrated experience with sophisticated statistical analyses.
* Experience synthesising peer‑review literature.
* Experience working in a research management role.
* Commitment to keeping discipline knowledge up to date.
* Independent research capability with limited supervision.
* Track record of publications and conference presentations.
* Team collaboration and relationship building.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills.
* Communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
